CAMERA MODE/ANGLE
You do not need to have the camera on, however for new people to the online sessions I recommend that you have the camera on for at least the first few sessions so that I can offer postural support if needed via email. If using the camera you will need to setup your computer and camera so that it can show your whole body sitting on a yoga mat. A side ways angle is usually the best. Please make sure you are not too far away and that there is adequate lighting.
THE SESSIONS
Each session you will need the ZOOM meeting number.
We will use the one meeting number for the 6 sessions. Please plan to login 5-10mins before each class start time so as to prepare and allow space for any technical issues that may come up.

IF NEW TO THESE CLASSES DOWNLOAD FUZE
ZOOM is the platform that we connect to for these classes which is very easy to use and is free for participants. If this is your first time participating in these classes using ZOOM, please make sure you successfully download. By clicking on the meeting link your computer should automatically download the application software for you so just follow the prompts. It should only take a few minutes to do this and then once downloaded it will stay on your computer. The ZOOM meeting link for the live classes is posted in the Course Login page.

RECORDINGS
I recommend that if your schedule allows for you to attend the live sessions, then you commit to this. However if you are unable, the sessions will be recorded and available up to 7 days after each live session. These will be posted within 30mins of the live class on the Course Login page.

Counselling
We must first have a healthy relationship with ourselves before we can have healthy relationships with others.

Marika is a warm, steady and intuitive Holistic Counsellor with 18years experience working with clients in private practice and in more recent years offering EAP services to corporate businesses. She is a strong advocate for supporting self-empowerment, body connection and connecting clients with their inner resources and innate wisdom to deal with daily life. Understanding the root cause of why things are enables true healing and not just a reduction in symptoms.

Marika is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association and uses clinically proven therapeutic interventions, and when needed a trauma informed somatic approach to navigate clients issues and desired outcomes. She is experienced and trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-centred Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gotmman Method Couples Therapy and Career Counselling.

Counselling therapy has benefits for everyone because of its potential to enrich one’s life and address unhelpful patterns, behaviours, beliefs and unresolved issues that have developed through life experiences. The mind and body are intricately connected and cannot be separated. As a Holistic Counsellor, Marika has an integrated approach to address the whole person. Integration of the mind and body incorporating the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the whole self is key to realising a healthy sense of wellbeing.

You may just need a one-off session to work with something specific, or a series of sessions over time for something much deeper. There is no difference in the quality of the session when done online.
